Hi, I'm John.

Who am I?

I am an experienced Lead Design Engineer with many years experience taking ideas from start to finish, and all the steps along the way.

I also head up as Product Owner, leader and generalist. I'm happy scoping ideas, whilst ensuring the voice of the customer is at the centre of the problem.

I design and take to manufacture products both within large  and small teams. I am happy to take the lead, but recognise the importance of delegation.

I have delivered solutions with a deep understanding of customers `jobs to be done` and use this focus within UX, Mechanics , HW and Devops.

What's the path I tread?

I studied Product design and the mantra of the course was a holistic one. I have taken this approach into the companies I have worked for. I ensure the steps of the process are followed. This ensures that the product creation is validated at key stages with the focus being the customer's needs and desired outcomes.

I influence key stakeholders within the process ; always basing outcomes on fact based decisions that can be explained clearly. I follow a design process that you can find on this site.

​

I have built up over the years routes to manufacture through many different materials and processes both within Europe and the Far East.

​

Curiosity combined with Creativity. I love a blank sheet of paper.
